United Law Company (ULC) and affiliates have extensive knowledge and experience in connection with shipping laws regarding ports and have advised various clients with regard to joint venture agreements, bids, tenders, issues regarding container terminals, development of berths and regulatory laws in all areas.

Our firm also deals with various cases pertaining to and on behalf of cargo owners and their agents and also negotiates with custom authorities and makes representations to departments and relevant authorities on behalf of our clients at all levels. We advise on contentious and non contentious maritime matters.

The contentious work embraces litigation, arbitration and mediation including claims and disputes involving/relating to bills of lading, charter parties, salvage, death and personal injury, oil pollution, cargo damage and loss as well as the arrest and release of vessels. Our Customs practice attorneys’ provide guidance to manufacturers, distributors, retailers, technology companies, and foreign suppliers engaged in the import and export of goods, technology and services.

The non contentious areas of work include advice on matters such as the ship financing, registration and related insurance contracts.
